WESTBOUND DECK OF THE BAY BRIDGE LEADING INTO SAN FRANCISCO WILL BE CLOSED PRESIDENT'S DAY WEEKEND 8 PM FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 TO 5 AM TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2012
It has come to our attention that the westbound deck of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge will be closed during Presidents’ Day weekend 2012 but there are numerous alternatives for getting around the Bay area while the westbound deck is closed.
Construction of a slight detour near the toll plaza will require the upper deck heading into San Francisco to be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. Eastbound traffic will have full access to the bridge during the closure. As you're making your travel arrangements for the show, please allow extra time for travel and use of other bridges, including the Golden Gate Bridge, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the San Mateo- Hayward Bridge and the Dumbarton Bridge. If you haven't reserved a hotel room, we encourage you to take advantage of our low hotel rates and stay in San Francisco at one of the many properties close to Moscone Center.

Alert-Possible Housing Scam
Please be advised that a company called Convention Housing Services in Henderson, Nevada has been contacting SFIGF attendees claiming it can secure hotel rooms at lower rates than available through San Francisco International Gift Fair room blocks. This company is also known to use the names Convention Expo Travel and Academic Travel Advisors. If you receive a call, please be aware that there have been reports from other groups and individuals that after paying Convention Housing Services and/or Convention Expo Travel, no room was reserved and they lost their money.
These companies are not authorized to represent Urban Expositions or San Francisco International Gift Fair, nor do they have access to officially contracted hotel room blocks or rates at any of the convention hotels. The official hotels in our trade show block have been made aware of the situation and further steps are being taken by these hotels to stop this false advertising. We highly recommend that you do not make any reservations through any unknown housing or travel company. The official hotel reservation/housing service for Urban Expositions/San Francisco International Gift Fair is Connections Housing.
